This 500 acre park in Farmington MN, is a great place for the whole family.
Fawn Crossing Nature Play Area, is a unique place for kids to build forts from sticks, climb on rocks and stumps, balance on logs, build water dams and sand sculptures. For the adults the park offers a gorgeous 3.8 mile walk around Empire Lake.
The park offers year-round camping in heated camper cabins. While these cabins are considered “primitive” because the restrooms are located nearby. Treehugger.com has named these cabins, the “Nicest Camper Cabins in All of Minnesota.” The cabins do offer electricity, heat, overhead lighting/fans, and wi-fi. Up to six people can stay in each cabin, which have a set of bunk beds and two daybeds.
